Reflectel’s Swoop Leather Mirror TV with Integrated Soundbar has received the 2026 Technology Designer Performance Home Award for Best Product.
The honor marks the Swoop’s second major recognition of 2026. Earlier this year, HC&G selected it as its Innovation in Design Readers’ Choice Winner for Product Design. The HC&G award recognized the Swoop’s design; the Technology Designer award recognizes the integration of display and audio technology within that design.
The Swoop is attracting attention from both design professionals and residential technology specialists because it brings together a highly considered design with the performance expected from today’s home entertainment technology.
The Swoop is a fully custom, bespoke luxury Mirror TV with an integrated soundbar, created for interiors where television technology, high-fidelity audio, and design work together as one.
The Swoop Leather Mirror TV
The Swoop brings a distinctly sculpted silhouette to Reflectel’s Mirror TV frame collection. Its sweeping curves give the perimeter a softer, more fluid presence, while premium leather adds depth, warmth, and a tactile quality rarely associated with a television installation. Custom stitching, in complementary or contrasting colors, can also be added to the face and sides of the frame, creating an additional layer of detail and personalization.
With the display powered down, the viewing surface reads as a mirror rather than a dark screen. Once activated, the TV image is visible through Reflectel’s proprietary optical-quality mirror glass.
Made individually in Reflectel’s Tribeca studio, the Swoop can be specified for the dimensions, orientation, finish, and project requirements of residences, hospitality environments, and commercial spaces.
Reflectel is also proud to share that the Swoop has been featured in notable design installations, including Nikki Levy’s room at Holiday House Wellington in 2026 and Daniella Feldman’s room at the Hamptons Contemporary Design Showhouse in summer 2025.
Technology Behind the Mirror
The Technology Designer recognition centers on a groundbreaking Reflectel innovation: bringing the television, mirror, audio, and frame together as a single, coordinated architectural element. The award-winning installation pairs a Samsung QN90 Series Neo QLED display with a Samsung HW-S800D soundbar, combining the viewing and listening experience within the Swoop itself.
Audio is a critical part of the solution. With Reflectel’s integrated soundbar option, the audio component is concealed behind the mirror glass on an internal shelf system, completely out of sight. Reflectel’s optical-quality dielectric mirror TV glass allows the technology behind the glass to disappear while maintaining the function and visual clarity required for the finished installation.
Although the configuration recognized by Technology Designer uses Samsung components, Reflectel is open to the best television and audio brands available. The company can work with virtually any television and soundbar, selecting the equipment that best suits the installation and the client’s preferences. Reflectel generally favors exceptionally slim, bright displays and currently supports the LG G6.
